Our Journey

Hi, I'm Anjalie, the baker behind Coco ARNY. 

For as long as I can remember, I’ve struggled to find cake that truly lived up to my expectations. Too often, it looked beautiful but tasted forgettable. Something guests politely picked at rather than genuinely enjoyed. I wanted cake that people would finish without thinking, the kind that made you pause mid-conversation then go back for another bite.

I was tired of the same vanilla and red velvet options. I wanted flavour. So I created my own.

As a lifelong foodie, I’ve always been inspired by my Tamil heritage. Our cooking leverages bold spices, complex flavours, and food that is just mouthwateringly good. It only felt natural to bring that flavour into my baking.

 

I began developing flavour combinations that didn’t just look good, but that were also an experience for the taste buds. 

What started as an experiment became Coco ARNY’s South Asian–inspired menu: cakes, cupcakes and caramels designed to surprise, delight, and convert even those who don’t usually like cake. And the best part? Watching guests polish them off and tell me how much they love them! 

This journey is still evolving. I’m constantly testing, refining, and creating new flavours, so
